Hi, I’m Luke. I’m a scuba instructor, researcher and guide. I spent three years in logistics with National Geographics Okavango Wilderness Project and the last five as a naturalist/expedition diver for National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions.

I learned a long time ago I don’t like to travel the same way most people do. I could never do a two week trip to Europe and say I’d experienced ten countries. I don’t just want to see a place, I want to experience it. I want to suck the marrow out of it, look behind the veneer most tourists stop at, and sit with the heart of it. I challenge myself to build and guide itineraries that meet those requirements. That’s what Jungle Merman is.
